To improve the quality of life of residents of the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood through advocacy, information, community organizing, education and economic development.

Projects

BVHPCA has been working with DOE and the City of San Francisco to develop a new "Alternative Community Energy" (ACE) project. The goal of the ACE project is to train and employ Bayview Hunters Point residents in the installation of alternative energy systems. As a result of ACE, 54 solar water heaters and 6 solar panels are being installed in Bayview. BVHPCA's also runs its Windows Project to provide outreach and education to Bayview residents about pollution issues surrounding the Hunters Point shipyard.
