Mission

 

Greenpeace was formed to perform grassroots lobbying, direct action, public education and research in furtherance of the goals shared by Greenpeace organizations worldwide. Its campaigns focus on ending the threat of nuclear war, protecting the environment from toxic pollution, redirecting energy use toward renewable sources and conservation, protecting the global atmosphere, stopping the release of genetically engineered plants and animals and halting the needless slaughter of whales, dolphins, seals and other endangered species.

Greenpeace USA has offices in Washington DC, San Francisco CA. Greenpeace also has some temporary presences in various parts of the country depending on campaign needs. The six main campaigns Greenpeace is working on are Climate Change (Global Warming). Genetic Engineering, Toxics, Nuclear, Forests and Oceans.
