Midway Residents for Environmental Justice is a group of citizens organized to fight toxic pollution in the Midway Village Project Housing community in Daly City, CA. The community stands on soil from an adjacent Superfund site polluted in the early 1900s by a PG&E gas manufacturing plant. Since evidence of pollution was disclosed in 1990, Midway Residents have been fighting through direct action and legal channels to facilitate clean-up, relocation, health care, and compensation. |
