This is an extremely useful book for basic information on Amerasians as they have been resettled in the US. There is a good degree of interesting breakdown by Black/Vietnamese and White/Vietnamese, male and female. Female Amerasians appear to do better on the whole (job, schooling), unless they get caught up in abusive relationships or have children (!). This also shows the basic biases of the General Accounting Office in examining the success rate of resettlement through only three criteria: finding and keeping a job, learning English, and furthering one's education.
