I've read how much you value education. What college courses would you recommend an aspiring UN representative and humanitarian to take?
Alison and Lynn
A general knowledge of history and politics, economics, and international law are an essential basis. A little later on, the best course of all is to go work in some unfortunate part of the world in refugee operations or development programs or in the many humanitarian programs run by the UN and other organizations. Without this experience it is very difficult to get a grip on what the UN is, or should be, all about.
