Welcome to a Conversation on International Affairs. I'm Harry Kreisler of the Institute of International Studies. Our distinguished guest today is the honorable Cho Soon, Mayor of Seoul, Republic of Korea. Dr. Cho received his Ph.D. from the University of California in 1967. He then had a distinguished academic career serving as both Dean and Professor of Economics at Seoul National University. Dr. Cho then served as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economic Planning Board of the Republic of Korea and held the position of Governor of the Bank of Korea. He recently became the first elected of mayor of Seoul.
