Kenneth N. Waltz
Kenneth Waltz is Emeritus Ford Professor of Political Science at UC Berkeley.
He is past President of the American Political Science Association (1987-1988)
and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. His publications include
Man, the State, and War: A Theoretical Analysis (1959), Foreign Policy
and Democratic Politics: The American and British Experience (1967, reissued
in 1992), Theory of International Politics (1979), and, with Scott
Sagan, The Spread of Nuclear Weapons: A Debate (1995). Dr. Waltz is
also coeditor and coauthor, with Robert Art, of The Use of Force, now in
its fourth edition. His "Nuclear Mythos and Political Realities" won the Heinz
Eulau award for best article in the American Political Science Review in
1990.
