This interview is part of the Institute's "Conversations with History" series, and uses Internet technology to share with the public Berkeley's distinction as a global forum for ideas.
Conversations host Harry Kreisler welcomes Parag Khanna, Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation. Their discussion focuses on the emerging world order characterized by 3 empires—the U.S., the European Union, and China—and a rising Second World which, benefiting from globalization, has greater opportunity for self definition internally and influence externally. The conversation elucidates the shape of this new world and its implications for U.S. foreign policy.
